FAQS
How do I apply for a role?
On the New Balance careers page, navigate to the role you want to apply and select Apply. You will need to create an account, add your CV and cover letter (if applicable) and answer the set questions.
How can I send a speculative CV?
Unfortunately, we do not accept speculative CV’s, you can set up alerts for roles you are interested in and this will then send you an email as soon as a similar role is posted that matches your interests.
Am I able to apply if I live in a different county to where the role is based?
To apply for a role in a different country to where the role is based, you must have the right to work in that country. If so, then we would welcome your application. We will consider applications for Senior roles from applicants that do not have the right to work in that country, however this is on a case by case basis.
What does the interview process look like?
The interview process will be different for each role, from office to retail environment. A requirement of many roles at the first stage is ability and psychometric testing or a Skype interview, which will then be followed up with a face to face interview and a visit to your potential new office/store if you are successful at the first stage.
How can I prepare for the interview?
If you are on this website, then you are already making a good start! It is useful to know some information on the history of New Balance, the size of the business and understand if New Balance is a place you would like to work. Review the job specification for key roles and responsibilities. Prepare some questions for the interviewers about the company or the opportunity itself. Finally, familiarise yourself with competency-based interviewing. Prepare some past examples of specific projects, tasks or situations, the process and actions you went through and the final outcome.
What should I wear to the interview?
New Balance operates a smart casual dress code and we encourage all applicants to follow the same dress code for their interview.
What should I expect when I arrive at your office?
When you arrive at any of the New Balance offices, you can expect to be greeted by a member of the New Balance team. Please check beforehand if the office you are visiting has parking.
Do you hire interns?
At New Balance Europe, we have a very small number of internships available each year. It would be best to create an alert on the New Balance careers website, so you do not miss out on any opportunities.
Are you able to offer work experience?
Unfortunately, we do not offer work experience at any locations in Europe.
What benefits do you offer?
We offer some great benefits which differ across the countries that we operate. Please see our Careers main page to learn more.
Who can I contact for an update on my application?
We make a commitment to respond to all applicants and at each stage of the process, even if this can sometimes take longer than we would like. If you have a question outside of this, you can contact emea.hr@newbalance.com.
I work for a recruitment agency, can I present some candidates to you?
We have a preferred agency list who we work very closely with, so we therefore do not accept CV submissions.
